Our timbers can come in an oiled, treated or a painted finish. Redwood comes either treated, oiled/stained or painted. Larch & cedar have natural longevity but they can be oiled for extra protection and to enhance the grain/colour. Our hardwood doors & windows are all painted. Our English Oak is oiled, never painted, that would be a crime!

Cedar is extremely long lasting, from 25 to 50 years or more in some cases. It is also environmentally friendly & sustainable.
Cedar shingles turn from a rusty red colour to a beautiful silver/grey over the first year or so.
Our thick felt tiles have a 10 year+ lifespan and will normally last much longer if looked after.
We use Sadolin Superdec Satin Opaque paint on our garden buildings as it allows the beauty of natural wood to show through and offers 10 years of protection.
We have a range of standard colours but we can customise your paint scheme if you'd like something different.
We only use Osmo Natural Oil Woodstain for long-lasting UV & weather protection.
There are various colours available and the finish is absolutely lovely.

We have colour sample boards at our display sites.
Bespoke colours are also available.
Our huts are made for the domestic market and we build a very sturdy timber frame for them. If you would like to be able to tow your hut across a field then you will need a traditional rolling steel chassis.
Please contact us for a quote. These huts are completely assembled before delivery and need to be delivered by lorry and then craned or towed into position.
You can choose between: galvanised corrugated steel (shown above), Tile Grey, Merlin Grey or Raven for your shepherd hut roofing.
The colours are displayed below.
Please allow for differences in monitor colour accuracy.
Our wheels are hand forged from cast iron in Lincolnshire and believe me, they are not easy things to lift!
You can upgrade to the 32" wheels if you would like a truly grand shepherd hut.
We can arrange the supply and fit of Ekol stoves, such as the Apple Pie.
Please contact us for a quote.
